Ohanaeze Ndigbo Ogun Endorses Tinubu, Senator Adeola Yayi, Calls for National Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections

Ogun State – The Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Ogun State chapter, has officially thrown its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, following Adeola’s adoption as the APC governorship candidate in Ogun State.

Speaking at a press briefing at Owode Yewa, South Local Government attended by political stakeholders, traditional rulers, and members of the Igbo community, Chief Steven Okorie, President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Ogun, reaffirmed the association’s loyalty to President Tinubu and expressed full support for Senator Adeola’s candidacy.


Chief Okorie emphasized that political engagement must rise above ethnicity and regional interests, urging the Igbo community and all Nigerians to embrace unity, constructive participation, and peace ahead of the 2027 elections.


The association condemned attempts to inject divisive ethnic politics and called on citizens to prioritize national development, peace, and stability. 


He also commended security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, Amotekun, So-Safe Corps, Civil Defence Corps, and local vigilante groups, for safeguarding lives and property.


Concluding the briefing, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Ogun stressed that tolerance, dialogue, and mutual respect are vital for building a prosperous Ogun State and a stronger, more cohesive Nigeria for future generations.
