The Ogun State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun Corps, has announced the commencement of screening for applicants seeking recruitment into the corps for the 2026 exercise.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the agency’s headquarters in Abeokuta, the corps said the screening exercise would begin on Monday, May 18, and end on Saturday, June 6, 2026, across five designated centres in the state.
The agency explained that the exercise was aimed at ensuring that only qualified candidates are recruited to strengthen operational efficiency and security service delivery in Ogun State.
According to the schedule released by the corps, applicants from Yewa North, Imeko-Afon and Abeokuta North Local Government Areas will be screened at the Alaye of Ayetoro’s Palace between May 18 and May 20, while candidates from Yewa South, Ipokia, Ado-Odo/Ota and Ifo will undergo screening at Oja Palace, Ilaro, from May 21 to May 23.
The statement further disclosed that applicants from Sagamu, Remo North and Ikenne would be screened at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu, between May 25 and May 26.
It added that candidates from Ijebu Ode, Ijebu North, Ijebu East, Ogun Waterside, Ijebu North-East and Odogbolu would appear for screening at the Ijebu-Ode Local Government Secretariat from June 1 to June 3.
The corps also stated that applicants from Abeokuta South, Odeda, Ewekoro and Obafemi-Owode would undergo their screening exercise at the Staff Development Centre, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, from June 4 to June 6, with all sessions scheduled to commence by 8 a.m.
The agency advised applicants to check their names at their respective Local Government Secretariats and Amotekun offices from Thursday, May 14, ahead of the exercise, urging candidates to appear with valid means of identification and other required documents.
It also directed members of the public seeking further information to contact the corps’ headquarters in Abeokuta.
