Beninese Community in Ogun State Endorses Senator Adeola’s APC Governorship Bid: A Case Study in Diaspora Engagement and Political Unity

Ogun State, :-  Nigeria – The Union of Beninese Residents in Ogun State (UBEN), representing nearly 1.2 million members in the region, has publicly congratulated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola on his adoption as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

The move underscores the pivotal role of diaspora communities in promoting political engagement and social cohesion within host states.

UBEN, under the leadership of President Otodji Samuel, is renowned for its commitment to community development, peace, and security, as well as ensuring members adhere to local laws and contribute positively to society. In a statement issued earlier today.

       President Samuel hailed Senator Adeola’s adoption as “a momentous occasion that promises a new chapter of progress and unity for Ogun State.”

Highlighting the senator’s record of public service, UBEN praised Adeola’s legislative excellence, grassroots engagement, and longstanding connection to Ogun and the southwestern region. “Senator Adeola has consistently demonstrated leadership that is inclusive, visionary, and responsive to the people’s needs.

 His candidature reflects the aspirations of many who seek continued growth and development in our beloved state,” the statement noted.

The union also appealed to stakeholders and residents across Ogun State to unite behind the APC candidate. “Collaboration and shared vision are key to shaping a prosperous future for Ogun State. We pray for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for Senator Adeola as he embarks on this crucial journey towards the June 2026 election,” President Samuel added.
